Benedikt Sticht
I hold an MBA and a degree in Mechanical Engineering and bring more than 15 years of experience across the plastics industry, mechanical engineering and industrial project management. After several years at KraussMaffei, where I led international projects and was responsible for global sales processes, I assumed the role of Managing Director of IE Industrial Engineering GmbH in Munich in 2022. Today, I am responsible for the Plastics and Technology divisions, supporting leading industrial companies in the planning and realization of complex production facilities.

Brief Profile: Expertise at a Glance
Planning and realization of sophisticated industrial buildings for the plastics and technology industries.
Industry Focus
Supporting manufacturing companies in the plastics and technology sectors throughout the digital planning process toward an optimal production site. My focus is on functional, economical and future‑proof solutions precisely aligned with production requirements.
Role at IE Group
As Managing Director of IE Plast and Technology, I support companies from the initial concept through to the completed production facility. My responsibilities include strategy, project business and long‑term customer development within the plastics and technology industries.
Technical Expertise
I combine strong technical expertise with strategic thinking and management experience in the planning and implementation of large‑scale industrial projects. Thanks to my many years of hands‑on experience in the development and global project planning of injection molding machines, I have a deep, first‑hand understanding of the requirements and processes of the plastics industry, including life on the shop floor.
My Journey: From Process Optimization to a Sustainable Plastics Factory
Early in my career, I became fascinated by the interaction between technology, precision and industrial value creation. During my time at KraussMaffei, I gained a comprehensive understanding of the plastics industry, first through the development of injection molding machines and later through the design of complex production systems worldwide.
These years shaped my understanding of processes, structures and technical interdependencies and taught me that even small planning decisions can have a significant impact on efficiency and profitability. As my experience grew, my focus expanded from technology alone to include processes and organisational structures. As Head of Global Sales Processes and Variant Management, I was responsible for digitising core processes, introducing CRM systems and standardising international project structures. This experience reinforced my belief that successful industrial projects only emerge when technology, data and people are aligned around shared objectives.
At IE Plast, I now combine this experience within the general planning of industrial production facilities. The complexity of these projects continues to inspire me, from the initial idea through process planning to turnkey implementation. Every factory, every company and every client is different. Even when production processes appear similar, the approach and the required expertise are always unique. This diversity is what motivates me: developing tailor‑made solutions that reflect individual requirements while drawing on the collective experience gained from numerous projects.
For me, every project is an opportunity to integrate technology, efficiency and architecture into a production facility that operates reliably, efficiently and sustainably over the long term.
My Vision for 2040
I envision industrial buildings that are fully connected, flexible and scalable. Factories in which data, energy and material flows interact seamlessly. Buildings and production processes will form an intelligent, adaptive system that continuously optimises itself. The factory of the future will think ahead, conserve resources and create a working environment that supports both advanced technology and the people who operate it.
