Benedikt Sticht
I am an MBA & Dipl.-Ing. Mechanical Engineering with over 15 years of experience in the plastics industry, mechanical engineering and industrial project management. After working at KraussMaffei, where I managed international projects and was responsible for global sales processes, I took over the management of IE Industrial Engineering GmbH in Munich in 2022. In this role, I now manage the Plast and Technology industries and assist leading industrial companies in planning and implementing complex production sites.

Brief Profile: Expertise at a Glance
Planning and construction of sophisticated industrial buildings for the plastics and technology industries.
Industry Focus
I support manufacturing companies in the plastics and technology sector through the digital planning process towards an optimal production site. My focus is on functional, economical and future-proof solutions that are precisely tailored to production requirements.
Role at IE Group
In my role as managing director of IE PLAST, I support companies from the initial idea to the finished production facility. I am responsible for strategy, project business and customer development in the plastic and technology industries.
Technical Expertise
I combine a combination of technical expertise, strategic thinking and management experience in planning and implementing major industrial projects. Thanks to my many years of experience in the design and worldwide project planning of injection molding machines, I have first-hand knowledge of the requirements and processes of the plastics industry, including the unmistakable smell of an injection molding shop.
My journey: From process optimization to a sustainable plastics factory
It was clear to me early on that I was fascinated by the interplay of technology, precision and industrial added value. During my time at KraussMaffei, I got to know the plastics industry from the ground up — first in designing injection molding machines, later in designing complex production systems worldwide. These years have shaped my eye for processes, structures and technical relationships and have shown me that even the smallest planning decisions can have enormous effects on efficiency and profitability.
With increasing experience, my focus shifted from pure technology to processes and organization. As head of global sales processes and variant management, I was later responsible for digitizing central processes, introducing CRM systems and standardizing international project structures. In doing so, I learned that successful industrial projects can only be created when technology, data and people are geared towards common goals.
Today at IE Plast, I combine this experience in general planning of industrial production sites. The complexity of these tasks appeals to me — from the initial idea to process planning to turnkey implementation. It is particularly exciting that every factory, every company and every customer is different. The production process may seem similar, but the approach and know-how are always individual. It is precisely this diversity that motivates me: to develop tailor-made solutions from different perspectives and requirements and to contribute our accumulated experience from numerous projects.
For me, every project is a new opportunity to combine technology, efficiency and architecture — to create a production facility that works perfectly, works efficiently and lasts for the long term.
My Vision for 2040
I see industrial buildings that are fully connected, flexible and scalable — factories in which data, energy and material flows work together seamlessly. Buildings and production form an intelligent unit that is constantly adapting and optimising. The factory of the future thinks along, saves resources and creates a working environment that supports technology and people in equal measure.
